Master of Technology in Technology Management - M. Tech. (Tech. Mgt)

Background

This Master of Technology in Technology Management M. Tech. (Tech. Mgt) focuses specifically on the interface between management, technology and new knowledge generation. It aims to provide the knowledge that academics, managers in public and private sector organisations need to succeed in environments where technology can change the rules of competition and long term growth prospect through effective technology management.

It is a full-time academic degree programme running for a minimum of three semesters or 18 months. The programme is running from NACETEM Headquarters in Ile-Ife. The programme meets the needs of qualified individuals who wish to possess academic master degree in technology management as well as those who wish to pursue doctoral degree in the area of technology management. Projects will be submitted in form of a research thesis as part of the requirements for the joint award of Degree of M.Tech. by FUT Minna and NACETEM.

Objectives

Specifically, the course is designed to:

  1. create a critical mass of knowledge capital for continual generation of new knowledge to support growth and competitiveness of  public and private organisations,  

  2. develop in students a critical understanding of how Science, Technology and Innovation can be harnessed for sustainable economic development at national and business levels,

  3. enable students develop technology strategy and link this with the overall national development or business strategy,

  4. equip students with a set of skills that would be required to create and implement innovation and technology based change in the various functions of their organisations.

 

Professional Master of Technology Management – M.T.Mgt

Background

This Master of Technology Management (M.T. Mgt) focuses specifically on the interface between management and technology. It aims to provide the knowledge that managers in public and private sector organisations need to succeed in environments where technology can change the rules of competition and long term growth prospect through effective technology management.

It is a professional degree programme running on part-time (weekend) basis. The programme duration is a minimum of four semesters or 24 months. The programme is running from two (2) venues; NACETEM Headquarters in Ile-Ife and North-Central Office in Abuja. The part-time programme meet the needs of many professionals who desire to improve on their knowledge or acquire knowledge in the area of technology management but are not opportune to undergo full-time programmes. Projects will be submitted in form of a research thesis as part of the requirement for the joint award of Degree of M.T.Mgt by FUT Minna and NACETEM.
